Just became a moderator on 3800Pro, so that's fun. I know it's gone thru a couple hands since Intense got sold, then that guy sold the forum. Not sure what that'll help, but it's something.

Glad to hear it. Would be a tragedy for us remaining owners to lose the knowledge in these forums.

Hosted a buddy and his family for cookout... Ya, not alot on forums lately. Just keeping the lights on.

Got bored and started making build video...

I need to hunt down the little black trim bar that's at the top edge of the GS rocker panel cover, for driver's side between rear door and wheel well.

@  ejguillot : (03 May 2020 - 02:42 AM)

I've been on there too. I hope this forum is kept open, there's too much info to allow it to be lost!

@  dezldave961 : (24 April 2020 - 10:25 PM)

I've been monitoring GrandPrixForums and 3800Pro (don't have FB)... also hopped on TurboBuick, but 99% GN chatter from boomers

Where can I get instructions on removing my rear bumper cover? I just bought a new bumper in a matching colour to replace my cracked one. Haynes doesn't seem to make a manual for the Lacrosse. Any place I can find this info on-line for free/cheap?

Should be pretty easy to look at the replacement cover for the mounting points and just look for them on the car and bam you got it off and just goes back on the way it comes off!!!

its easy. I just took mine off last monday to take to the paint shop. I reinstalled it yesterday.

Steps:

1. open trunk lid and remove the black retaining clips on top. Just pry the center out a little and pull.
2. pull back carpet and remove 1 nut and 1 bolt per side. The nut is on the rear near the tail light nuts and the bolt faces down relatively close to the bolt you removed. All 10mm
3. remove 1 10mm bolt per side in the wheel well. Its facing up and at near the crease of the quarter and edge of the bumper.
4. remove 2 phillps head screws in the wheel wells that attach the liner to the rear bumper
5. remove 3 more push style clips under the rear bumper. These were a bit tougher than the top ones, same style, but just use a flat head and twist/wiggle a little to get the centers freed then I used needle nose and twisted on them gently to pull them out. I broke no clips

Then you just pull the bumper cover off. Simple.
