I am using PurolatorOne Oil Filter too . If you want to get rid of up to 99% of the contaminants that often plague engine oil, then this fine oil filter from Purolator will work for you nicely. It is a sturdy filter so you will have no problems installing it’s made in sizes that will fit a wide variety of domestic and imported vehicles. This oil filter does an excellent job for the price you pay for it. It can even be used in conjunction with synthetic and longer term oils which is rare for an oil filter in this price range

Oooh thanks.  I know most filters only work with conventional oil.  When you use synthetic, the filter unscrews itself at night, packs itself with dirt and then screws itself back on.  I suppose there's a chance a gym sock in a coke can gets "up to 99%", at least on enough passes.

Seriously though, there is a compromise between flow and fine particle capture.  A "tight" filter will just be in bypass more, unless the amount of filter material is increased proportionately.

I would also just use original equipment filters, but I'm sure the current AC Delcos are a different design than what they installed in Flint (just look at them).
