Just got my GS back on the road. Wife is pressuring me to sell it... don't know if I want to or not

@  monte0 : (17 February 2020 - 05:04 AM)

Popped on to see how things are. Been a couple years...

@  ejguillot : (14 January 2020 - 10:36 PM)

Hope the new year is treating everyone well..

@  ejguillot : (16 December 2019 - 01:55 AM)

Hi all. Decade is coming to a close... I'm feeling a little old!

@  M_Dogg : (05 December 2019 - 11:20 PM)

Cheers!

@  ejguillot : (02 December 2019 - 01:13 AM)

Hi there. Some of us are working to keep these cars alive and running. Glad you had a good 15 year run.

@  opera_bob : (30 November 2019 - 08:39 AM)

Every time I see an Old Buick I have major respect for it. I know what kind of torque these cars make.

@  opera_bob : (30 November 2019 - 08:38 AM)

I sold my 2002 GS back in 2017. She was falling apart all over the place. So I sold her and bought a 2017 Focus RS in 2017.

@  opera_bob : (30 November 2019 - 08:37 AM)

Hi Everybody.

@  ejguillot : (15 November 2019 - 08:19 PM)

Anybody get on here anymore?

@  ejguillot : (01 November 2019 - 02:23 AM)

It should be possible, you might want to get a surplus connector so you can hook the fan motor to a battery.

@  Greg2000GS : (01 November 2019 - 01:58 AM)

cooling fan suspect. Is there a way to test it by jumping connector?

@  Fast86GN : (31 October 2019 - 01:23 PM)

I'm here....

@  ejguillot : (27 October 2019 - 01:39 PM)

Let's try to bring this forum back to life a bit... I'll be on fairly often (now that my project Regal is seeing some progress).

@  ejguillot : (27 October 2019 - 01:38 PM)

Let

@  ejguillot : (01 October 2019 - 02:44 AM)

And I will have a 1999 GS transmission, about 140K miles, shift kit installed, available for sale soon. in Tampa FL.

@  ejguillot : (01 October 2019 - 02:20 AM)

Hi everyone. Still working on my project car GS.

Just bought my son a 2003 regal gs.  I was extremely lucky to find a 59,000 mile car, everything works.  All his friends wanted Mustangs and Camaros.  What mods would you all suggest.  Looking for fairly inexpensive and easy installation.  Thanks in advance.

Weldome to the site! The newbie guide is a great place to start. The search function up toward the top is a great feature too. So start with the newbie guide (long but thorough topic), use the search function to find threads about specific topics and learn more, then if you still have questions feel free to start a topic. Lots of people on here know these cars very thoroughly. As you'll see in the newbie guide, learn what KR is and learn how to fight it. KR kills power and realiability. There is no reason a properly done 3.8L can't build good power and run 300k if you spend time and plan your mods properly. And your son should be happy to know that most of his friends who end up with mustangs and camaros won't even be able to keep up with his stock GS and he'll have lower insurance!

I just joined. I bought my first regal gs a couple days ago. My name is Tyler and i am from Waseca MN.  :)

Welcome to the site Tyler! I hope that you'll enjoy your Regal as much as I have mine. They are great cars! Any plans to mod or just enjoy?

Well i bought it with 145000 miles on it . it has some issues that need mending first . like the boost guage shows no psi. I checked the vac line to the map it seemed ok . everything else on the instrament cluster works lol except for the turn signal switch. I  thought it was just a bad bulb when i got her . Thanks every one for the welcome and yes i sure will mod i cant wait :)

Maintenance before mods is a good idea. The most common problem causing 0 boost to be read is underneath the supercharger snout there is a vacuum T that tends to break or come loose.
