Just became a moderator on 3800Pro, so that's fun. I know it's gone thru a couple hands since Intense got sold, then that guy sold the forum. Not sure what that'll help, but it's something.

@  ejguillot : (26 July 2020 - 02:47 AM)

Glad to hear it. Would be a tragedy for us remaining owners to lose the knowledge in these forums.

@  dezldave961 : (12 July 2020 - 01:55 AM)

Hosted a buddy and his family for cookout... Ya, not alot on forums lately. Just keeping the lights on.

@  ejguillot : (08 July 2020 - 03:16 AM)

Everyone have a good 4th? This place is a ghost town...

@  ejguillot : (10 May 2020 - 10:43 PM)

Sweet!

@  dezldave961 : (07 May 2020 - 04:14 PM)

Got bored and started making build video...

@  dezldave961 : (04 May 2020 - 04:05 AM)

I need to hunt down the little black trim bar that's at the top edge of the GS rocker panel cover, for driver's side between rear door and wheel well.

@  ejguillot : (03 May 2020 - 02:42 AM)

I've been on there too. I hope this forum is kept open, there's too much info to allow it to be lost!

@  dezldave961 : (24 April 2020 - 10:25 PM)

I've been monitoring GrandPrixForums and 3800Pro (don't have FB)... also hopped on TurboBuick, but 99% GN chatter from boomers

@  ejguillot : (19 April 2020 - 02:33 PM)

Everyone at home, plenty of free time.

@  ejguillot : (19 April 2020 - 02:33 PM)

Nobody posting? Why not?

@  ejguillot : (27 March 2020 - 05:19 PM)

Congrats on the Comp G GTP!

@  crossout : (25 March 2020 - 05:49 PM)

Wow this thing has died off I just myself 05 Comp G 3 weeks ago way different than my 2000 regal gs that I had it rusted out to hell strunt towers. :D :D

@  dezldave961 : (20 March 2020 - 04:18 PM)

Pulled turbo engine, prepping MP112 setup... also doing some work-from-home stuff

@  tpivette : (19 March 2020 - 08:57 PM)

So far so good. Still working, fortunately.

@  ejguillot : (16 March 2020 - 03:46 PM)

how's everyone doing? With coronavirus and all that?

@  tpivette : (25 February 2020 - 02:35 AM)

Just got my GS back on the road. Wife is pressuring me to sell it... don't know if I want to or not

@  monte0 : (17 February 2020 - 05:04 AM)

Popped on to see how things are. Been a couple years...

@  ejguillot : (14 January 2020 - 10:36 PM)

Hope the new year is treating everyone well..

@  ejguillot : (16 December 2019 - 01:55 AM)

Hi all. Decade is coming to a close... I'm feeling a little old!

A few years back (4) a friend of mine was looking for a new DD and another member and myself had matching white regals so he was in the market for a Regal as to make his life easier if service was needed.
After looking around at a few 6k cars not worth $6.00 I pointed him to the forums. There he found this gem for sale from what I will call a .org elder. I dont recall what the guys name was (something about Detroit lions?) But my buddy picked it up and we went to town replacing window trim, cowl plastics, seat cushions, rear-view mirrors, springs/struts, speakers etc in order to bring it up to DD status.

Move along 4 years and eventually it was put out to pasture in lieu of a shiny new Volt. A lil more time passes and I find myself transitioning between employers and surrendering my company car. Hey!! sell me that regal collecting dust next to the garage!!

Bam!! back in the game!!

Well history repeats itself. apparently that trim and plastic we replaced years ago wasn't so hot back then to begin with. And that exhaust leak it had when it was bought is still there. The seat cushion, smooshed and dirty. All of these extra parts from other W cars that I was to chicken to cut into my 2003.... Project time!!

So now with a little bit of tuning help from a fellow member (______) from the great state of New York my 11deg of Kr has been reduced to a blip of 1 or 2 with plenty of room for improvement.
Once these tires take a lil more heat theres a set of 17 or 18's in this cars future along with brakes accommodating 13-14" rotors.. why not?!?
The GMPP kit of yor is still intact and handles great. Gas Mileage sucks like no other but Im a lil unsure if its the car or the gauge.

1997.5 GS
3.4 Intense MPS
3" Wild DP
2.5 single SLP on stock cat
Some sorta shift kit
FORD racing development tran cooler - to accompany the use of small receiver hitch
Custom FWI
GMPP bars
Monroe quick struts w/ G8 spring blockers
H-body PCM box
Custom tune
12" rotor upgrade
Aeroforce scangauge in headlight opening with headlight control relocation to under dash
ASC Moon roof
2002 Oldsmobile intrigue seats - Full lower cushion heat with back cushion lumbar
Overhead homelink controller with factory moonroof switch - Intrigue
Auto Dim rear-view with lights - 02 Monte Carlo
Grand Prix heads up display integration
Oldsmobile Ciera T handle shifter - Perf enable relocated to PRNDL center counsle area
Century concert sound headunit with Cass delete - Modded for Aux in with 1A USB charge port
Keyless FOB range extender MOD

Future plans:

13-14 front brake upgrade - CTS/ CTS-V
More better radio
more better wheels
ALu Cradle?
ALu oil pan?
Alu brackets?
ALu rear brakes from ALero/grand AM?
Plastic gas tank?
ALu bumper supports or bumper support delete with spare tire removal for more better MPGs

Yeah Dave, the car still have 5k lbs of Dyno matt in it. Prolly why I get such crappy MPG compared to my 03 with way more done to it.

As for the radio it is out of a Century I found in the yard. Black with Porno Red interior. Ive seen them before.

I went off the "DIY $3.00 aux in" thread in the DIY section and I added a 1AMP USB charger I had around. It uses its own fuse but is run off the radio power tapped internally inside of the radio.

If your in Michigan and want it done lemme know. Another radio ive done

If you want I'd be willing to ship my radio to you (and pay for return shipping) to add the aux port. I have a spare one in the garage.

After using it for a while and having done a plain radio adn a Monsoon system the way this works is deff not optimal. Look around and get the Pac AUx pod thing.
