Speedy daddy is the default cheap. I have been running pacesetters for 10 years and with the exception of one issue have had no problems.

Driver's Door Lock Won't

Lock or unlock that is. Haven't seen a discussion about this in awhile, so it must be time. And mine does seem to be a bit different from what I remember.

Distinct clues are:


When using the door switch, driver's door will not lock or unlock. All others work fine.

When using the fob (Viper alarm) a single click will unlock the driver's side just like normal, but will not lock with the fob. A second click works the other doors as expected.

The mechanical key function does not seem impaired.


So it seems that the driver's solenoid will pop when only the one door is selected, but not when "all doors" are selected to open at the same time (using the door switch).

Does this lead anyone to a narrowed down version of the fix? Seems the solenoid is working, but only when just the one door is activated. As soon as I either try to open all, or lock all, the driver's door will not work.


Doesn't seem like the alarm is doing anything wrong, and the solenoid is capable of working. Just not playing nice with the other kids. Could it be the driver's door switch?

Bad ground wire in the harness perhaps?

Still having the issue. Haven't had time to dig into it, but frankly not sure which direction to take anyway. So that kind of gets me out of the mood to just pull it apart.

But that's probably just what I'll have to do. Dig in and look for anything out of the ordinary.
