The stock 9006 bulbs seem to not even light up the road anymore.  What is being recommended to replace them with LED versions?   Thanks

What makes them your choice?  Do you use them?  How much room do they leave after they are installed? Thanks for the suggestions.

As with most brands like my second choice being DDM , you sometimes have to cut out the back of the headlight on the regal because of the curve / angle in which the bulbs are installed.
The rear of the bulb has the cooling, fan or heat straps.

Next choice is the type of led layout. The most expensive and brightest was the 8th because the chips are designed to mimic the filament of the halogen bulb

Does that give them a better focus too? Or more to the point, do our lamps blind oncoming traffic with their flare?

Mine have never been that impressive. Either in brightness or beam pattern. I'd like a more flat cutoff like fog lights, but doubt that just a bulb can do that. I'm guessing too that when the lenses fog up a bit that just makes it worse.

I've cleaned them a couple of times and generally they're in good shape other than an internal fog (or just a more resilient exterior fog) at the very top of the lens. I wonder if any of the aftermarket replacements have better beam patterns, or if they're just clones of the originals?

Anyway, would love to try some LED's and don't mind a little modification. Just don't want to be "one of those cars" that are always looking like the high-beams are on.

See that way too often around here these days!

Thanks. Hope it works out for you braebyrn. I'm probably going to do something, but think I'm going to do the Big 3 first. Wasn't bad enough to do before, but now I can easily see things are dimmer and slower than they used to be, even after the alternator is doing it's thing.

I just received a set of HID lights from DDMtuning.com. I plugged them in last night just to test one low beam and wow! Its a huge difference, I ordered a 35w hid kit from them. I know that DDM has LED versions as well if you are set on the LEDs.

I prefer LED's mainly for the lack of warm-up period that HID's often have. I like to enhance the high-beams too, so HID's aren't as quick to flash.

Are your new ones better in that regard?
