What's poppin! We don't know what to do to liven up the website!

@  steveyjr1982 : (01 October 2018 - 09:58 PM)

The majority of people on fb are annoying.

@  ejguillot : (21 September 2018 - 03:03 PM)

Agreed. I'd rather pay money to keep this site going than be on Facebook and having everything on there be used to make a buck for Zuck and company.

@  Vicious6 : (20 September 2018 - 01:48 PM)

We need to get this place moving again! Post link to this site on every social media site you know! Been around too long and we can't let it go down..........

@  Vicious6 : (20 September 2018 - 01:08 PM)

Seems everyone is too stressed to be online and worried about where their next meal is coming from! Rough times right now!

@  ejguillot : (14 September 2018 - 01:15 AM)

Still dead in here. Get off Facebook!

Hey Fella's!

I just finished doing the Upper & Lower intake manifold gaskets on my 98 LS and I broke/lost 3 things in the process. She has 270,000 miles on it and everything else on the car is in good shape and I didnt want to just scrap the car. Anyway the job is done after me working on it for about 8-10 hours throughout the week and only had 2 issues. I lost one of the bolts which secure the coolant lines that run through the tensioner assembly. I have a bolt in there just to show placement but it doesn't fit. Also lost one of the thin metal retaining wires for the fuel injector to keep the harness from popping off. I have pictures of both below. Just for shits and giggles I cracked the fuse box cover which isn't critical just curious if anyone has one laying around. Any help would be appreciated!

Probably be faster to just visit your local u-pull-it junkyard.  Those things are almost always available.

Normally I do, but all the ones around me changed and aren't U-Pull anymore. The closest one from me is almost 2 hours one way... which sucks. Figured I would try here first.

Zip tie the injector down. Did that for years on my Lumina :). The bolts are 10 MM and I'm not sure of the thread pitch. I can probably pull them off this motor I'm working on since I won't need them for the swap I'm doing. I can yank the injector clip too. Email me at bucky531@gmail.com if your'e still interested as I'm not on here that much.

little tip if you ever take them plugs off again. simply push that metal clip in and pull the plug off. no need to remove the wire clip if you did that for removal.

zip tie will work for sure till you find another one.

Thanks for the help guys, actually conveniently went apple picking last weekend next to the U-Pull junkyard. I thought it was a coincidence but my wife did not. The guys at the counter were laughing so hard they didn’t charge me anything. Grabbed everything I needed!!
