Looking for a gray steering wheel for a 2000 GS.  Doesn't have to be perfect, but definitely looking for something nice.  Email photos & price to nyr386@aol.com

Can send Paypal and account for fees and shipping.  Thanks.

i re painted my wheel with SEM brand paint. did the air bag too, damn thing looks like new.

best to take it off and remove the radio controls, clean and prep wheel and air bag real good then paint it up.  paint was like 20 bucks iirc.

Not a bad idea to paint it.  I did that to the steering wheel in my Grand National years ago and it still looks like new.  However, the problem with my wife's wheel is gouges from a ring I bought her (just my luck, right?).   I dont think paint would help in this case which is why I'm looking for a decent replacement.  I might give it a shot, worst case I'm still looking for a wheel afterwards.  I'll most likely pull the wheel, don't want to car to smell like spray paint for weeks...

That looks fantastic!  What color SEM paint did you use?  Will a typical harmonic balancer/steering wheel puller work on these cars?  Assuming its best to disconnect the battery for a bit beforehand because of the airbag?

Crazyguy03 - Still possibly interested in your wheel, send some pics when you have time.

theres a thread here that covers the repaint, that guy had the paint and color listed. i used the same.  i used a small 2 jaw puller to get the wheel off, and yes unhook the battery for the airbag removal.

guy in the diy thread left the wheel in the car, that just seemed silly to me. so i took it off.

Thanks for the link.  Would definitely take the wheel out if I go this route, not spray painting in the interior of my car.
