Cheers!

@  ejguillot : (02 December 2019 - 01:13 AM)

Hi there. Some of us are working to keep these cars alive and running. Glad you had a good 15 year run.

@  opera_bob : (30 November 2019 - 08:39 AM)

Every time I see an Old Buick I have major respect for it. I know what kind of torque these cars make.

@  opera_bob : (30 November 2019 - 08:38 AM)

I sold my 2002 GS back in 2017. She was falling apart all over the place. So I sold her and bought a 2017 Focus RS in 2017.

@  opera_bob : (30 November 2019 - 08:37 AM)

Hi Everybody.

@  ejguillot : (15 November 2019 - 08:19 PM)

Anybody get on here anymore?

@  ejguillot : (01 November 2019 - 02:23 AM)

It should be possible, you might want to get a surplus connector so you can hook the fan motor to a battery.

@  Greg2000GS : (01 November 2019 - 01:58 AM)

cooling fan suspect. Is there a way to test it by jumping connector?

@  Fast86GN : (31 October 2019 - 01:23 PM)

I'm here....

@  ejguillot : (27 October 2019 - 01:39 PM)

Let's try to bring this forum back to life a bit... I'll be on fairly often (now that my project Regal is seeing some progress).

@  ejguillot : (27 October 2019 - 01:38 PM)

@  ejguillot : (01 October 2019 - 02:44 AM)

I'm gonna follow what scottydoggs98 did to his.
I really don't care if it's outside the rear frame though...

Since this silver car is not long for the salvage yard zip ties work for me. As long as it functions.
Probably by next year will be looking for another W body to put this drivetrain in.

I have too much into mine. It’s paint and body work is perfect. Interior like new. Underside shows some age but eventually I’ll have to sell it. Just don’t want it to go to some idiot and have them trash it.
But sometimes a zip tie or 2 is just what you need

Okay finally got around to this LoL Remember it only has to function. I did confirm the old line was rusted out at the union in the middle. And it's even still there. LoL
It ran from the RR brake line to the union in the middle rear around to the drivers side and connects right next to the fuel filter. I disconnected there saved the female end fitting which this kit came all male fittings. Flared the new tubing and connected the female fitting back on and ran the tubing around in front of the tire well and up to the brake line on the RR wheel. Zip tieing as I go. Flared the other end and connected. Now to bleed the brakes.

e brake my foot....look closer, its touching or damn near touching the one of the two suspension bars. that stuff moves all the time. the pic on the right side 3 rd down from from the top, that pic.

and all the places you have it zip ties to will wear too. best to get some vac line cut it like a hot dog bun and slide it over the tubing then zip tie it, this way its protected. even a 1/8 mile at a time will make the line fail over time. nicop is pretty soft, dont take much to wear through it. only down side to it. other then that i love that line.

this is why all lines are mounted to the frame or under the body, then you get the rubber hose to the caliper,  keeps it all from moving and rubbing.

Okay your right I see that spot. I move it away about an inch first of all then wrapped in heater hose then wire loom the whole length. Should be good now. Appreciate the help.

Would it be possible to post the fitings and sizes so I can be lazy and not have to guess?
I looked to join new line to the old line by the fuel filter with a new roll of line and bring it back to each rear caliper.
Might even try a fuel line / filter replacement that Billboost posted years ago.
The brake line I have laying around is about 10’ of coiled line for an import with a nice “coating” on it. Not sure if it’s ecen the same diameter as the Buick.
Thanks !

I have a wicked drivetrain that’s hardly broken in cause every year something stupid happens and I don’t drive it. Maybe this year I can get past 5,000 on the brand new engine / stage 3 build ;)

You will need a tube flaring kit to flare the ends. I bought one from Northern Tool co for about $25 bucks. You will not need the tube bender as this tubing is very soft you bend it by hand.

Wanted to mention something not sure if it has anything to with the way I ran the brake line vs the factory but after bleeding the brakes and got a great pedal, when I got to the track and attempted to use the E brake I had none to my surprise.

No biggie I can go without it,  the brakes work great... I may even get a line lock at some point just thought it was a little weird?

Gotcha. I have a few kits laying around. Finding them is the hard part.
My e brake line snapped. Was looking to possibly try that “cable mod” part to clamp both ends back together where it broke. I only use to melt the tires anyways
