@  de.regal : (04 October 2020 - 10:50 PM)

@  tpivette : (03 October 2020 - 02:32 AM)

Sucks these forums are as vacant as they are... oh well, there's still the faithful like us!

@  kevandkaye : (27 September 2020 - 02:40 AM)

Yet still, we lurk. :o

@  ejguillot : (27 September 2020 - 01:08 AM)

Yeah, Facebook took over and killed forums.

@  dezldave961 : (26 September 2020 - 03:24 AM)

Ya, most of the original wave of active members have changed vehicles to something (probably) less mod-friendly, with the occasional person in an LS or Hemi that they do some bolt-ons to. Kinda sad that forums faded.

@  ejguillot : (23 September 2020 - 09:02 PM)

Finally updated my signature to match my current Buick.

@  ejguillot : (10 September 2020 - 03:20 AM)

Things are terminally quiet around here...

@  dezldave961 : (29 July 2020 - 04:06 AM)

Just became a moderator on 3800Pro, so that's fun. I know it's gone thru a couple hands since Intense got sold, then that guy sold the forum. Not sure what that'll help, but it's something.

@  ejguillot : (26 July 2020 - 02:47 AM)

Glad to hear it. Would be a tragedy for us remaining owners to lose the knowledge in these forums.

@  dezldave961 : (12 July 2020 - 01:55 AM)

Hosted a buddy and his family for cookout... Ya, not alot on forums lately. Just keeping the lights on.

@  ejguillot : (08 July 2020 - 03:16 AM)

Everyone have a good 4th? This place is a ghost town...

@  ejguillot : (10 May 2020 - 10:43 PM)

Sweet!

@  dezldave961 : (07 May 2020 - 04:14 PM)

Got bored and started making build video...

@  dezldave961 : (04 May 2020 - 04:05 AM)

I need to hunt down the little black trim bar that's at the top edge of the GS rocker panel cover, for driver's side between rear door and wheel well.

Anyone ever seen it? Everyone here knows what it looks like? You may see it soon? LoL

I know it's suppose to fit under the hood but this IC install on the silver LS sets the blower pretty high and it's going to be real close?
If I have to cut the hood then so be it. The more I think of the idea the more I like it. Just hoping I don't have to cut more than the scoop will cover? Maybe even a cowl hood we'll see?

No interest here?  I thought this might get a response?

Here is what the scoop looks like.

If this was for my white 01 I would love to have one like what is on yours.
Since this is for the Silver beater it doesn't matter just need the clearance.

I posted on the V8 Buick forum and to my surprise the guys there loved the idea of the Stage 2 scoop on a W body. I'll post up pics when it's done.

I've got a new set of ZZP cradle spacers that I never used if you need some clearance.

ZZP gets 20 bucks plus shipping. I'd take $10 shipped.

The IC is finally done and does clear the hood but it is so very close but it clear and the hood closes. I do already have the Stage 2 scoop so I'm gonna put it on this weekend if the weather holds out.

Here are a couple of pics with it just setting on the hood. It will be painted silver. So since its not really ram air which direction looks best?

This is not going over well on the V8 Buick forum LoL
I'm going to shave the scoop down some so it's closer to the hood, cut the hole in the hood and face it forward and painted silver of course.
Pissing off the purist. To me it's still all Buick.

Okay I finally got around to painting the scoop, I didn't shave it down just going to install like it is. Still can't make up my mind backwards or forward though?    Help.

Leaning towards backwards since it's not ram air just something to let the heat escape.

Sorry, missed this thread. I think it would look better slightly shaved myself, but either way I'm thinking facing the rear makes more sense.

But going strictly on looks, either way looks good. It's not quite as complementary as the very short hood bubble thingy we see now and then, but it looks very purposeful.

Got any pics of it just laying there now that it's painted?

Paul
