Don't know where on the east coast you are, but there's one for sale on craigslist in south Jersey...https://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/d/browns-mills-98-buick-regal-gs/6779489044.html

@  Frank : (15 February 2019 - 03:42 PM)

Hello everyone! Its been a long time!. Looking to get back into the game. Anyone have a GS on the east coast they wish to part with?

@  ejguillot : (14 February 2019 - 09:08 PM)

Still have a Regal GS project that has taken way too long to build, and it's nowhere near done.

Hey guys, I've been looking at intercooler kits for my '98 Regal GS. I've seen the all-aluminum ones at ZZP, but wasn't there a company that made a phenolic intercooler casing at one point? Would this not be even better than aluminum for heat soak, or were there problems getting it to seal?

Also, it looks like the intercooler core is nothing more than a heater core. Is this true? This makes me wonder if something like the 'short-stack' intercooler might be overall better than the thicker core. I'm sure the thicker core cools better, but wonder if the pressure drop from blowing through the thicker core is worth it. Another thing I wonder about is if cooling would be better with a copper/brass core rather than aluminum due to better heat transfer properties.

One more thing; if I did have the thicker intercooler on the car, would my hood still shut fine, or would I have to do something like those cradle spacers or shim the hood hinges?

I'm no expert here but i would think the Full IC would be better than the short stack.  You will need the cradle spacers.

i got a 2.25 think ed labarge fsic, he no longer makes or sells them, it just brushs the foam lining of the hood.  you'll want fuel rails that dont go on top of the blower cause they will hit the hood for sure.

here you can see my diy cut up re built stock fuel rail.  cost me like 20 bucks.

Yep, I'm debating if short stack would yield good enough results with e85. I would think I would let me run 2.8 or maybe even smaller pulley without issues.
