The most difficult part of putting it in the fender was getting it into the fender. I just took out the wheel well liner, so it was pretty easy, but as stated, I hate the sound.

I agree on not liking the sound of the FWI. I put one in a few weeks ago, and it makes a horrid gargle noise mostly when its cold(at low rpm/speeds only).. once its warmed up it isnt as bad at all. I used a 3.5" tall cone filter and it fit right into the fender through under the hood.

And good job Usoff89, looks clean and simple.

Depending on what headers you're putting on and what flex you have, you might want to wrap just the flex pipe on the rear header.

I've got TOG headers.. 3" downpipe/flex.. high flow cat.. so are you suggesting wrapping the flex pipe on the downpipe? That metal seems most likely to rust quickly to me..

So would TOG headers be considered mild steel? I think either way I am going to avoid wrapping the headers, I want them to last a long time. I'll wrap the crossover, I bet you could re-wrap the crossover with it installed in the car.

clean the center light, scuff it, mask the reverse lights, primer it, exact match paint it, clear coat it.

I would at least to the cross over pipe, that would keep the heat off the TB.

Cool thanks for the advice Dave. I see you got TOG's, did you wrap your crossover?
