I agree on not liking the sound of the FWI. I put one in a few weeks ago, and it makes a horrid gargle noise mostly when its cold(at low rpm/speeds only).. once its warmed up it isnt as bad at all. I used a 3.5" tall cone filter and it fit right into the fender through under the hood.

I've got TOG headers.. 3" downpipe/flex.. high flow cat.. so are you suggesting wrapping the flex pipe on the downpipe? That metal seems most likely to rust quickly to me..
So would TOG headers be considered mild steel? I think either way I am going to avoid wrapping the headers, I want them to last a long time. I'll wrap the crossover, I bet you could re-wrap the crossover with it installed in the car. -

clean the center light, scuff it, mask the reverse lights, primer it, exact match paint it, clear coat it. -
