  1. Header Wrap

    30 April 2012 - 07:56 PM

Hi, just wondering the opinion of you guys on installing header wrap on some headers. I haven't seen anyone on here talking about wrapping theirs, so maybe it's known that it's not a good idea. A guy at my work who has been building performance engine's for longer than i've been alive says header's will rust away with wrap on.

I was a few days away from ordering a roll to do my headers before the install. Now, I'm not gonna bother. The idea was to keep the temp down under the hood.

He suggests getting them coated, but that costs alotta moola.

    Any experiences/opinions on the matter?

    Thanks,
    Justin
  2. NOS sniper EFI kit

    27 January 2012 - 01:41 AM

I found this NOS sniper Universal EFI wet kit on the local classifieds. It's $400 on JEGS plus taxes and shipping. The guy is selling it for $150 brand new. I don't know if this kit will work, I imagine it will though.. I haven't checked out any other forums or "googled" it, figured I'd bring it up here so everyone can see what the verdict is... will it fit?

Does it spray into the TB?

  3. WTB: SLP spoiler

    24 January 2012 - 03:00 AM

I am looking to buy a SLP spoiler for my Regal. Reproduction or original, doesn't matter.. Let me know if you got one for sale! Thanks.
  4. Wipers stopped working

    22 January 2012 - 05:24 AM

As I was driving I pushed the wiper switch forward to just do a quick swipe of the windows and then stopped early in the 2 seconds you usually hold it for to make wipers go.. I guess because I decided that in fact I did not want to wipe my windows. :techie-idea:

And at the time I figured I actually just stopped early enough for them to not even scratch the surface of my view. Turns out I broke something, wipers don't move at all.

So I get under the hood and have the wiper motor turned on and you can hear it was working. Took a few clips off the cowl and the weather stripping; looked underneath to see that the wiper transmission, or arm assembly you could also call it, was not moving. A mechanic I know said these gm cars have a "park position switch" on top of the wiper motor, and that is what needs to be replaced. Makes sense to me just wondering if anyone knows if this may fix it, or have any other suggestions.

I'll be fixing it on Monday, I might replace the whole motor assembly anyway because my wipers stop 1/4 way up the windshield when on delay timing. I've looked for a post about correcting that, only found one, guy said he just replaced the whole motor. Anyone know about that problem as well?

Either way I'll update what happens.
  5. dredg9 is a good seller

    28 December 2011 - 08:16 PM

His for sale post was easy to understand, pictures were supplied. His replies leading to the sale were well written, and he did what he said he was going to do as far as shipping right away. i received my parts no problem and am happy with my first transaction on this forum. I would not hesitate to buy off of him again.

    Thanks dredg.
