Somewhat true, but I'm not going to get too real about the demographics of Regal owners past & present. It'd be out of place on a Regal forum, and make people cross-eyed coming from a Regal owner. :blink:

The vehicles themselves dictate the demographic and activity level based on their following. GTP's drew the majority of the L67 crowd, including myself, and current 4/6/8cyl offerings of the last 15yrs are where 99% of our former peers and newcomers have shifted to.

*S&W Racecars cage for 95-99 Monte... I'd actually fit the xTSM class, aside from not being a RWD, if I swapped the Air-Air I/C back in. Probably wouldn't be competitive just yet, but I'd like to see them squirm.

It's the compatibility that threw me off. I do have the non metal gasket, it's not paper, kinda plastic like but more flexible.

Can I use Right Stuff on lim gasket or something else is recommended?
Do I have to use rtv between sc and lim gasket?

I would use gaskets. I didn’t really start getting lazy until I needed garlocs and then I would just use rtv. But even now I use garloc and right stuff. But I also take my engine apart a lot each year and sometimes I change things up
Everything on my car is either right stuff or gasket and right stuff.

What about the two coolant passages on the bottom of SC inlet? TB adapter plate blocks it off but that would probably leak, no? One option is to block off the two holes on the lower intake but I came across an old discussion by master James saying it is not a good idea because of coolant flow restriction.

 

Also do i need any rtv around the red outline on the top of the gasket? Any rtv on the bottom of the gasket? I know these questions might sound brutal to some, it's my first time  lol :oops:

I answered my coolant flow question with this thread from GM forum post #9. Now I know what @tippietoejoe was talking about with opening the coolant passage at the end of the lower intake. Good stuff. I'll just tap and plug the two LIM coolant holes and dremel out the rear end.

There is no RTV on my SC gasket.
